Directors
Technical Director - Rin Rutherford

Born and educated in Western Australia, Rin started his career as a service technician in his family’s business where he specialised in water treatment systems. In 1972 he started his own business as a domestic service technician, then, in 1986 became the founder of Goldfields Reticulation.

Goldfield Reticulation’s 1st major contract – a bore field reticulation worth $1.2m - was awarded in 1987.

Since GFR’s conception, Rin has been at the forefront of the water management industry in Western Australia. Providing routine installation of water management systems, advice and guidance to industry peers or emergency recovery from natural disasters have been just a small part of his contribution.

Not limited to the resource sector, Rin has provided a valuable service over the past 20 years to Agriculture, Fisheries and the Water Corporation.

Special focus is now being given to Best Business Practice in the Water Management Industry, more recently gaining international acclaim for work in Africa that is specifically aimed at eliminating drought conditions.

His current positions include:

* Director of GFR Africa
* Member of Australian Institute of Company Directors

Director - Adrian Griffin

Adrian Griffin is a founding partner of GFR, and is an Australian trained mining professional with exposure to metal mining and processing throughout the world.

He has been involved in the development of precious and base metal extraction technology and was a pioneer of lateritic nickel processing industry. He specializes in mine management and production and is presently CEO of Dwyka Diamonds Limited, an AIM and ASX listed diamond producer. He is also a director of Empire Resources Ltd (ASX), Washington Resources Limited (ASX), Hodges Resources Limited (ASX), Northern Uranium Limited (ASX) and Metal Sands Mining plc (AIM).

Managing Director - Gavin Rutherford 

Born and educated in Western Australia, Gavin joined GFR in 1996.
Up to the time he joined GFR, Gavin's experiential background was focused in the veterinary industry based on a 13-year tenure with the worlds largest Animal Health company. This included Senior Management positions in Australia, followed by National Management of the New Zealand business.

Gavin's work experience for this NYSE listed Fortune 250 company included high-level Marketing and Sales responsibilities, with a critical focus on technical knowledge and its impartation at the highest commercial and competitive levels, including the NZ Government and their Olympic Equestrian effort. University studies completed during this time were focused on Chain Management, Marketing, and Business.

Bringing this expertise to GFR and a new industry meant a steep learning curve for Gavin, who over the last 10 years has become an industry recognised identity and a technical repository for GFR's products and the industry that GFR serves. 

Creating and providing stewardship for business growth opportunities is Gavin's prime focus.
